My family has 4 people. My parents bought an extension of the health insurance card since October and have paid: the first one with 100%, the second one with 70%, my brother bought the extension in November and was charged at 60%. As for me, because my health insurance card expires from March, so if I buy in mid-November, the post office worker will collect 804,000 dong from me, is it correct?

Answer:

Point e, Clause 1, Article 7 of the Government's Decree No. 146/2018/ND-CP dated October 17, 2018 detailing, and guiding measures to implement, a number of articles of the Law on Health Insurance stipulating the reduction of health insurance premium rates is applied when all family members buy health insurance in the same fiscal year.

Thus, if in fiscal year 2020, your parents participating in household-based health insurance and paying premiums in October 2020 will be the first and the second person participating in 2020 with the payment rate of 100% and 70% respectively (4.5% of base salary). Your brother who renewed the household-based health insurance card in November 2020 will be determined to be the third person to participate in 2020 with a payment rate of 60%, also in November 2020 if you renew your card, you will be identified as the 4th person to participate in 2020 with the payment rate of 50%.

Please contact the collection agent or the social insurance agency for support and settlement in accordance with the law.
