On October 12-13, 2026, Viet Nam Social Security (VSS) organized a conference to practice emergency response to information security incidents for its officials in the Northern region, with the participation of 102 delegates from social security branches in 19 provinces and cities. Viet Nam Social Security (VSS) has successfully converted social insurance (SI) numbers to personal identification/citizen identity card (PI/CIC) numbers for more than 101.49 million people on the Collection and Management of Books and Cards software system (TST), achieving 99.17% of the total number of people within the conversion scope. Notably, the conversion for people currently participating in SI and health insurance (HI) nationwide has been completed; cases involving people who have ceased participation and those whose data do not yet meet the requirements continue to be reviewed and processed.
