The Ministry of Health has just issued Circular 60/2025/TT-BYT on December 31, 2025, regarding occupational diseases eligible for social insurance (SI) benefits and guidelines for diagnosing and assessing the degree of work capacity impairment due to occupational diseases.

The government has recently issued Resolution no. 403/NQ-CP on December 10, 2025, assigning targets for expanding social insurance (SI) coverage to provinces and centrally-run cities by 2030.

Minimum voluntary social insurance premium be unchanged under new multidimensional poverty measure
On Dec 12th 2025, the Government issued the Decree No. 351/2025/NĐ-CP issuing National multidimensional poverty standard for the 2026–2030 period including the adjustment of rural poverty standard. The important base identifies the minimum voluntary social insurance (SI) premium.

Targets for expanding SI coverage by 2030
According to Government Resolution No. 403/NQ-CP, nationwide, by 2030, the number of people participating in social insurance should reach 29,334,000; of which the minimum target for voluntary social insurance is 2,444,500 people. The government also specifies the number of participants in social insurance and voluntary social insurance for each province and city.

Guidance on salary payment and SI participation for foreign workers in Vietnam
