I have been participating in health insurance for more than 5 consecutive years and paid for the medical expenses this year of 10.8 million VND. Can I go for online procedures to apply for a "CERTIFICATE OF NOT HAVING THE COSTS PAID IN THE YEAR" to be 100% covered with the health insurance costs? If not, how and where do I do it?

Answer:

Currently, the procedure for issuing ‘Certificate of not having the costs paid the year’ has not been done online.

Therefore, please go to the social insurance agency where the card is issued for instructions on the procedure for issuing the ‘Certificate of not having the costs paid the year’. An application for a ‘Certificate of not having the costs paid the year’ includes:

- Originals of Invoices, Receipts for payment of medical expenses covered by health insurance (5% or 20%) of the patient from the beginning of the year. (In case a health insurance participant wishes to use the original Invoice or Receipt for another purpose, the one-stop department of the social insurance agency shall take photos of the Invoices and Receipts and sign for certification on the photocopy and return the original copy for the insured; In case the insured loses the original Invoice/Receipt, he/she shall submit a photocopy of the Invoice/Receipt or a photocopy of the Invoice/Receipt certified by the medical facility where the health insurance cardholder received medical care or a list of expenses for medical examination and treatment (according to Form No. 01/BV, 02/BV);

- The health insurance card is still valid.
