I have paid voluntary social insurance since April 1, 2020 and have paid for the whole year until March 31, 2021. However, on August 18, 2020, I got the decision to be an official employee in my current company. And the company started paying compulsory social insurance for me from August 18, 2020. In your case, you have registered to participate in voluntary social insurance from April 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021. From August 18, 2020, if you signed a contract to work at a new unit, you have been subject to compulsory social insurance since August 2020 and was allowed to stop participating in voluntary social insurance. The time of your voluntary social insurance payment from August 2020 to March 31, 2021 will be refunded according to the provisions of Clause 3, Article 43 of the Consolidation Decision No. 2089/QD-BHXH dated June 26, 2020 of Vietnam Social Security. We suggest that you contact the social insurance agency where you participate in voluntary social insurance for instructions on implementing the refund procedures to get back the money paid for the voluntary social insurance.
