My health insurance card is registered at the primary hospital in the province. Where can I get medical examination and treatment at a facility other than the provincial general hospital and still enjoy the full benefits stated in the health insurance card?
In order to fully enjoy the benefits of an insured person, it is recommended that you perform the referral from the original place of medical registration in accordance with regulations.
In addition, if you register for the initial medical care at the provincial hospital but go for medical care by yourself at other medical facilities, you will still be fully covered by the health insurance fund within the scope and benefit levels specified on the health insurance card in the following cases:
- District hospitals nationwide;
- Initial medical care at a medical facility at the same level or equivalent to the initial medical facility registered on the health insurance card in case the insured participant is on business trip, mobile work, or focused learning in training forms or programs, temporary residence and must present the health insurance card; Photo identification and one of the following documents (original or photocopy): business certificate, decision on sending to study, student's ID card, proof of temporary residence registration, transfer paper.
