From 01 October 2022, the support for Unemployment insurance (UI) premium was stopped according to Resolution of the Government.

From 01 October 2022, the UI premium of employers was adjusted, no longer support level during the time affected by COVID-19 pandemic.

On 24 September 2022, the Government issued the Resolution No. 116/NQ-CP on supporting the employers that affected by COVID-19 pandemic from UI fund. Accordingly, the employers’ contribution rate was reduced from 1% to 0% of monthly salary fund of employees that were the UI participants.
The conditions were employers who were participating UI before 01 October 2022. The support period was from 01 October 2021 to 30 September 2022. (The above employers were not including State institutions, political organizations, socio-political organizations, people’s armed forces units and public non-business units that recurrent expenditure are guaranteed by the State budget.
Therefore, from 01 October 2022, the period time of reducing UI premium was stopped according to the Resolution No 116/NQ-CP of the Government. The UI premium of employers will return to 1% of monthly salary fund of employees in units that were the UI participants.
The reduction of the UI premium for employers in recent year has helped many enterprises overcome the difficulties caused by COVID-19 pandemic. However, recently, most of economic activities have taken place normally, the UI premium from 01 October 2022 came back as before COVID-19 to ensure the adequate, stable resource of UI fund to pay the regimes, share risks among participants./.
