I am a university student who has continuously paid health insurance premiums at my school for 4 years. But until now did I know that I am provided with locally free health insurance. Then can I get a refund for the health insurance I paid for?
According to the provisions of Vietnam Social Security, each participant in health insurance is provided with only one social insurance code. In your case, if you are issued with local health insurance, the student health insurance is no longer valid on the system. Therefore, you will get the refund for the health insurance premium from the time the locally-issued health insurance card becomes valid until the expiry date of the student health insurance card.
