Are foreign workers required to participate in health insurance?

Do foreigners who have worked and contributed to social insurance in Vietnam for 5 years are entitled to a lump-sum insurance after terminating their labor contract? What documents are needed for the application?

I am a foreign national currently working in Vietnam and participating in the country’s compulsory social insurance scheme. I am pregnant and expecting to give birth in October this year. Could you please advise me on what maternity benefits I am entitled to under Vietnam’s law?

If my child is sick, may I take a leave to care for him?

Is my husband entitled to paternity leave to take care of me when I give birth?

I would like to ask, for foreign workers who have terminated their employment contract. I understood the procedure to receive the lump-sum social insurance with reading FQA. In my case, but the date of termination of a labor contract expired one year before (Jun 2024). Is it acceptable for me to apply to receive their lump-sum social insurance, if I submitted all the required documents from now on?
