Bac Kan Province’s Social Insurance Agency has accelerated the installation of VssID and registration of electronic transactions via the application.

The VssID mobile application provides essential utilities and information such as monitoring the participation process, policies of social and health insurance, looking up information on social insurance codes, social insurance agents, hospitals and health clinics to allow people to use health insurance cards for examination and treatment, household health insurance and 24-hour-daily support services.

It aims to help participants in social, health, and unemployment insurance in the province access information and public services more conveniently, easily and quickly.

The agency has ordered its staff and officers to register an electronic account after installing the VssID application on their mobile phones following guidance of the document No 2659/BHXH-CNTT, issued on August 21, 2020 of the Viet Nam Social Security.

The staff and officers were also asked to comment on the operation of the application to help the agency improve the application as well as disseminate and instruct their family members and friends to install and use the application.

Besides, the agency also organised activities to promote use of the application such as instructing participants on how to install, register and use the application and telling them about benefits when using the application.

The agency also co-operated with local media outlets to disseminate information on the increased convenience when using the application. The official website of the agency also posted a video clip to instruct people to smoothly install and use the application.

The agency issued plan No 902/KH-BHXH on December 28, 2020 on guiding the installation of the application and e-transaction registration for participants in local businesses.

Moreover, the agency set up teams from provincial-level to district-level to instruct participants in social, health and unemployment insurance on installing the application and registering e-transactions.

The agency already told its staff in charge of social insurance, as well as social and health insurance agents, to introduce the features and benefits of the application to participants and help them to register for e-transactions with the social insurance agency.

At the same time, staff who completed administrative procedures in both provincial and district-level insurance agencies were told to quickly approve accounts of participants registering via the application or support participants on how to install the application and register an account if needed.

The provincial insurance agency has received more than 13,000 accounts via e-registration so far. Some 10,612 transactions were approved while 2,491 accounts have yet to be approved because they failed to provide their ID cards and registration declaration.

The agency plans to strengthen dissemination of the application, actively provide information for press agencies, facilitate communication about the operation of the application, supply documents, leaflets and video clips on the installation and use of the application to local agencies in the province if required, as well as take measures to effectively run the application in the province./.
