VSS organizes review and approval of ministerial-level science and technology topics

On November 3, 2021, the VSS held a meeting of the Advisory Council to select the implementation of ministerial-level science and technology tasks in 2021 with the topic titled: "Scientific basis to improve social insurance policy for farmers in rural areas”. General Director of Vietnam Social Security (VSS) Nguyen The Manh, Chairman of the Council, chaired the meeting.

The topic "Scientific basis to improve social insurance policy for farmers in rural areas" is a scientific and technological research project at the ministerial level chaired by the Social Security Training School, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Tuan - the school's vice principal - is the project leader. At the meeting, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Tuan, on behalf of the research team, presented a report on the content of the thesis in front of the Council, specifically: (1) About the necessity, urgency, theoretical and practical significance of the topic; (2) Research situation related to the topic; (3) Approach, research methods, techniques used; (4) Research objectives and tasks; (5) Research object and scope; (6) Research content of the topic; (7) Organization conducting research; (8) Plan of cooperation with domestic research organizations; (9) Products of the topic; (10) Benefits of the topic/project and the method of transferring research results.

The topic was highly appreciated by scientists, managers representing a number of prestigious ministries and branches in the Council. This is a suitable topic, practical for the Industry, with socio-political significance, showing quickness in accessing the content of Resolution No. 28-NQ/TW dated May 23, 2018 of the 13th Party Central Committee on reforming social insurance policies. The members of the Council exchanged and gave many ideas to help the Board of Directors to orient the research.

Concluding the meeting, General Director of VSS Nguyen The Manh, Chairman of the Council, highly appreciated the necessity and practicality of the Project; requested the lead researcher to absorb the opinions of the council members, edit, arrange, explain layout, approach and research methods of the topic for science and efficiency. Finally, the council unanimously approved the topic, assigned the Institute for Social Insurance Science to coordinate with the Social Security Training School to complete the required documents and procedures to implement the topic./.
