Specifically, by the end of March 2025, there were 267,493 people nationwide receiving the lump-sum social insurance benefit, marking a decrease of nearly 70,000 people, equivalent to 26.17% compared to the same period in 2024.

This good news indicates greater public trust and clearer awareness of the benefits of social insurance policies, and their desire to have a long-term participation to guarantee the security for their future. The positive development also reflects the VSS’s efforts in communication, and in serving participants and beneficiaries of policies, especially in the context of the reorganization and establishment under a new model.
