Accordingly, VSS requested regional and provincial social security offices to concentrate on paying pensions social insurance allowances for the payment period of May 2025, ensuring that it is complete, timely, in accordance with regulations, and to those entitled to the benefits.

For cash payments, VSS local offices coordinate with the postal agencies to review and establish a payment schedule, ensuring that payments for pensions and social insurance allowances for May 2025 are made to beneficiaries from April 25 to April 28, 2025.

Payments through personal accounts will be made on April 25, 2025 by provincial social security offices, and on April 26, 2025 by local social security offices.

In addition, VSS proposed that the Vietnam Postal Corporation coordinates to prepare all necessary resources for the payment process and notify beneficiaries of the May 2025 payment schedule.

As a result, payments for both cash and personal account recipients for the May 2025 payment period will be made earlier than the regular monthly schedule and completed before April 30 and May 1 holidays. 

Previously, to facilitate the people and workers in celebrating the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975-2025), and to implement social security policies and stimulate consumption, the Prime Minister had issued a directive for the Ministry of Finance and VSS to make early payments of pensions and allowances for the May period.

Currently, the VSS system provides monthly pensions and social insurance benefits payments to over 3.3 million beneficiaries nationwide.
