Instead of only using SI number as before, users can now log into the VssID application  withtheir personal ID number/citizen ID number, making it easier for users to remember their login credentials, and ensuring  consistency and convenience when linking with other personal documents. Previously, VSS also collaborated with the Ministry of Public Security to integrate the use of electronic ID accounts (VNeID accounts) for logging into VssID. This not only enhances security but also creates a synchronized ecosystem among government applications.

The unified use of personal ID numbers/ citizen ID numbers to replace other codes, including SI numbers, is an important policy of the Party and Government. It aims to simplify administrative procedures, facilitate citizens and businesses, and improve the effectiveness of state management, marking a significant step in the national digital transformation roadmap.

To ensure continuity without interruption and to protect the rights of SI, HI and UI participants and beneficiaries, VSS will implement the transition to using personal ID numbers/ citizen ID numbers in place of SI numbers according to an appropriate roadmap. Participants and beneficiaries will not need to undertake any additional procedures when dealing with VSS or when seeking HI-covered healthcare services
