On October 15, 2018, the Government issued Decree No. 143/2018 / ND-CP detailing the Law on Social Insurance and the Law on Occupational Safety and Health on compulsory social insurance for employees who are foreign citizens working at Vietnam. After 2 years, the total number of FDI enterprises participating in social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance and total collection of social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance from FDI enterprises has increased.

On April 19, 2021, the Ministry of Health (MoH) issued Decision 1903/QD-BYT on the issuance of the Antiretroviral Drug (ARV) Plan in the 2021 HIV/AIDS Treatment Program, thereby the target is to continuously and sufficiently provide antiretroviral drugs (ARV) for treatment of 162,000 people infected with HIV by the end of 2021.

On April 19, in Da Nang, Vietnam Social Security (VSS) held a Conference on consultation, dialogues and instructions on registration of electronic transaction accounts to use the VssID - Digital Social Insurance application. Attending the conference were representatives of the Customer Service Center; IT Center; Department of Social Insurance and Health Insurance Implementation; Da Nang Social Security Office and more than 250 agencies and units in Da Nang City.

On the afternoon of April 15, 2021, in Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai Province, Vietnam Social Security (VSS) held a Dialogue Conference with Korean businesses of Dong Nai, Binh Duong and Ho Chi Minh City. This is the first time that VSS organized a Dialogue Conference with a view to raising awareness, creating consensus and cohesion among these businesses in the implementation of policies on social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance.
