The feature came after the Viet Nam Social Security recently integrated a number of features and utilities into the application to bring convenience to users.

The new feature allows users to scan QR codes of their health insurance cards and ID cards to automatically fill in information including social insurance number, full name and address instead of entering the details manually.

It also helps to increase the accuracy of information when the users register.

At the same time, the application has a new option of sending electronic declaration documents via email to users.

Besides, the application adds the feature of “Inviting to install VssID”, allowing users to send messages with the content as a link to invite other people to install VssID.

The application has already added one online public service for individuals. It provides the service of re-issuing social insurance cards for people in case their old card was damaged or lost.

This brings the total number of public services provided on the application to four.

The four services encompass re-issuing social insurance cards for people in case their old card was damaged or lost; relocating places to receive pensions and social insurance benefits for users; changing forms of receiving pensions (in cash or via bank account) and social insurance benefits and changing information of beneficiaries.

The application also supplements the pension-adjustment sheet for users.

Moreover, users now could add their profile picture to their account.

The VssID mobile application provides essential utilities and information such as monitoring the participation process, policies of social and health insurance, looking up information of social insurance codes, social insurance agents, hospitals and health clinics to allow people to use health insurance cards for examination and treatment, household health insurance and 24-hour support services.
