At the meeting, the VSS Office gave a brief report on the task execution situation of the Industry before, during and after the Lunar New Year. Accordingly, the whole industry has successfully completed its regular tasks. Before Tet, Vietnam Social Security focused on directing the social security offices of provinces and cities to well implement the policies of social insurance and health insurance; to organize the allocation and payment of January and February's pension and social insurance benefits and fully and promptly settle the policy regime for the subjects in the COVID-19 epidemic situation.

VSS and Social Security Offices of provinces and cities coordinated with a number of sectors to organize many activities to visit and give presents to policy beneficiaries and people in difficult circumstances; especially, successfully organized the program "A warm Tet for the patients" with thousands of gifts sent to poor sick people to enjoy Tet at hospitals.

During Tet holiday, units in the industry have also well implemented the regulations on fighting wastefulness and practicing thrift; assigned on-duty staff during Tet to deal with unexpected tasks and people's proposals; ensured safety of the assets, vehicles, and offices of the units in the industry and guaranteed no occurrence of electrical shock, fire or explosion; All cadres, civil servants, officials and employees were able to enjoy the spring holiday healthily and safely.

Speaking at the meeting, General Director Nguyen The Manh assessed that, in 2020, in the extremely difficult conditions of epidemics and natural disasters, the Vietnam's Social Insurance Industry still successfully completed its assigned tasks with outstanding results in administrative reform, IT application, development of participants in social insurance and health insurance, etc. These results act as an important foundation for the Vietnam's Social Insurance Industry to continue to improve service quality and support people, employees and enterprises in 2021, especially while facing the COVID-19 epidemic's complicated developments.

Manh asked the Industry's units to follow the directions and action plans issued by the VSS in the implementation of the Government's resolutions in 2021; at the same time, he stressed on the spirit of initiative, creativity, research on working methods, and supporting participants in social insurance and health insurance in the epidemic situation and local conditions.

Manh believes, with the achieved foundations and the tradition of solidarity and making efforts to overcome difficulties, in 2021, the entire Vietnam's Social Insurance Industry will successfully complete the assigned objectives and tasks./.
