Vietnam Social Security (VSS)’s efforts to integrate public services into the national service portal have gained achievements and have been recognised by the Government, the Prime Minister and employers.

By the end of September 2020, the agency had integrated 15 public services into the national public service portal, including 12 sectoral public services and three services linked with other ministries and localities.

More than 5,000 transactions have been processed online with more than 5.4 million documents synchronised and 179 items of feedback and proposals of individuals and organisations received and replied to.

The agency has fully updated information on 27 administrative procedures on the national database.

In order to continue to promote online public services online, the VSS has recently asked relevant agencies and localities to integrate more public services online, following the Government Office’s order.

The VSS has requested social security agencies of central-level cities and provinces to work with local departments of labour, invalids and social affairs to instruct local employers to put a new service online.

The service integrates the registration and adjustment of the compulsory social security, health insurance and unemployment insurance payment with the employment database on the national public service portal.

Agencies and departments belonging to the VSS have been ordered to integrate online payments of compulsory social security, health insurance, unemployment insurance, occupational accident and disease insurance.

The units were told to encourage employers and individuals to use online payments on the national public service portal and ask VSS staff to register accounts on the portal.

The implementation of public services as well as online collection of insurance payments not only meets the requirements of the Government Office but also increases accuracy and reduces the workload for social security staff./.
