VSS inaugurates IT Opertation Centre and Customer Service Centre

Vietnam Social Security (VSS) held a ceremony in Hanoi on August 31, 2017 to inaugurate its IT Operation Centre and Customer Service Centre.

Vietnam Social Security (VSS) held a ceremony in Hanoi on August 31, 2017 to inaugurate its IT Operation Centre and Customer Service Centre.

The IT Operation Centre has the following functions:

1) Acting as a central point for the management and operation of software systems, including health insurance assessment  information system, admistration system of software and centralised database, digitised archive system, email management system, document management and operation system, customer service system, etc.

2) Management of technical infrastructure, server system and network including WAN and linkages with related ministries, agencies and other stakeholders.

3) Linkage and processing VSS information system with related agencies and  providing guidelines, support and responses for users connected to IT systems.

4) Implemention of measures to ensure the security, safety, stability and continuity of the entire VSS IT system.

The Customer Service Centre has the following functions:

1) Acting as a central point for providing information and answering inquiries about social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance policies for people and businesses.

2) Supporting customers in using VSS online public services.

3) Assessing the satisfaction of businesses and citizens using VSS online public services.

4) Receiving information and requests from people and organisations and transferring them to relevant VSS departments for feedback.

Pham Luong Son, Deputy Director General of VSS, said that the launching of the IT Operation Centre and Customer Service Centre has practical implications for VSS in enhancing IT application in administrative reforms, especially providing online public administration services, improving the quality of customer services as well as business procedures requirements for the whole system.

Based on its previous achievements, VSS will manage and maintain operation stability and develop its software system and improve capacity of staff on system operation to meet the increasing requirements of people and businesses performing online transactions with VSS.
