In particular, as for the contribution to the increasing information about the Party's principles, guidelines and policies, and the State's Laws on social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance and activities of Viet Nam Social Security (VSS) to internal and external communities; elevating VSS’s position and reputation, creating domestic consensus, and leveraging the support from international community and the Vietnamese community abroad, foreign information work is always put in high regard by VSS, with numerous notable activities in 2023.

Accordingly, VSS organized Conference for foreign affairs training and international integration knowledge enhancement in 2023 in the Northern region (in Thanh Hoa) and the Southern region (in Binh Duong). The Conference disseminated and reviewed the results of implementing the Foreign Affairs Plan of VSS in 2023, simultaneously enhancing the knowledge, skills, updated information on foreign affairs, foreign information and international integration of Viet Nam for civil servants, public employees and foreign affairs liason of VSS.

On October 24, VSS also successfully organized a Dialogue conference on implementing social insurance and health insurance policies with Japanese FDI enterprises in Viet Nam (Northern region). The conference provided information, created a forum to exchange and answer questions, and raised awareness, consensus and cohesion among Japanese FDI enterprises in Viet Nam in implementing social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance policies and implementation of Decree No. 143/2018/ND-CP detailing the Law on Social Insurance and the Law on Occupational Safety and Hygiene about compulsory social insurance for employees who are foreign citizens working in Viet Nam.

The conference was well-received with recognition, praise and appreciation from delegates, strengthening the cohesion and consensus between VSS and Japanese enterprises in Viet Nam, contributing to the promotion and consolidation of the relationship between Viet Nam and Japan in the field of social security, on the anniversary of 50 years of establishing diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and Japan.

Also in 2023, VSS had linked the Electronic information portal of provincial and cities Social security offices with the English version of VSS’s Electronic information portal, which provides Viet Nam's social security regulations and policies in English to foreign workers and FDI enterprises in provinces and cities for better understanding.

In addition, VSS developed a database to serve foreign affairs and international integration on its document management and operation system (E-Office), which is available for all units of VSS and provincial and cities Social security offices. This work will provide optimal conditions for specialized units and local Social Insurance offices to reference and draw on international experience in carrying out professional work, international integration as well as formulating, proposing amendments and implemention of social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance policies.
