The conference was organized in a hybrid format, combining in-person and online participation, connecting the Government Headquarters with the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-governed cities. The Deputy Prime Ministers, Le Minh Khai and Tran Luu Quang, along with leaders of central ministries and departments, provincial and city authorities, and notably more than 2,200 representatives from business associations and outstanding entrepreneurs nationwide were present.

Businesses and entrepreneurs make significant contributions to national development

According to the Minister of Planning and Investment, Nguyen Chi Dung, in the recent period, under the correct leadership of the Party, the support of the National Assembly, and the resolute and unified direction and timely management of the Government and the Prime Minister, central ministries, localities have seriously implemented and deployed policies and solutions to support businesses, removing difficulties, adapting to the new context. They have focused on resolving urgent issues and existing weaknesses and bottlenecks hindering investment, production, and business activities, thereby actively supporting businesses' recovery and contributing to the national economic growth.

At the conference, representatives of businesses, business associations, and entrepreneurs expressed that in the face of common difficulties, the Government and Prime Minister have provided precise guidance to ministries, sectors, and localities to vigorously implement flexible and effective policies, adapting to the new situation. They directed Cabinet members to work with localities, establishing 12 Special Task Forces, enhancing responsibilities in handling tasks for ministries, agencies, localities, and officials to promptly address difficulties and obstacles for businesses.

Upholding the pioneering spirit, fostering innovation, and exploring directions for development

After leaders of ministries and sectors spoke and addressed the community's business opinions, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh began his speech at the event by conveying warm regards, gratitude, and the best congratulations from General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to the community of entrepreneurs and businesses on Vietnamese Entrepreneurs' Day, October 13. He mentioned that General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, on behalf of the Politburo, had recently signed Resolution 41 on October 10, 2023, regarding the construction and promotion of the role of the Vietnamese business community in the new period. The resolution emphasizes support, assistance, and reliance on the Vietnamese business community.

On behalf of the government, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh extended the warmest congratulations to business associations and entrepreneurs, acknowledging and highly praising businesses and entrepreneurs who uphold the pioneering spirit, foster innovation, seek new directions to enhance the position of Vietnamese products in the international market, thereby improving the self-reliance capacity of the economy. He shared the challenges faced by the business community in the past period and expressed the desire for businesses and entrepreneurs to continue growing and contributing to the nation-building cause of socialist Vietnam.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the Vietnamese business community and business entities are the main force in the material production of the Vietnamese economy, playing a crucial role in the nation-building and development endeavors.

Seizing opportunities, contributing to building a strong and prosperous Vietnam

The Prime Minister emphasizes the need to promote the strong application of science and technology, build a startup ecosystem, innovate; strengthen the connection between labor supply and demand, training, and high-quality human resources development, actively promote national digital transformation, unleash internal strength, and encourage robust development of domestic enterprises, especially in manufacturing industry, high technology, information technology industry, and establish domestic and international supply chains and value chains.

At the conference, the Prime Minister suggested that the business community continuously enhance competitiveness, reach regional and international levels; further leverage proactivity, dynamism, and innovation to not only develop their own businesses but also strengthen collaboration to create comprehensive strength, elevate the position of Vietnamese enterprises.

The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of developing the Party within enterprises; improving the capacity, quality, and leadership skills of human resources, management, and administration of enterprises, as well as developing the corporate culture and building a team of entrepreneurs with sufficient talent, morality, and vision.

With the motto "don’t say no, don’t say it’s hard, don’t say you’ve done when you haven’t; if you say it, do it, if you commit, implement it, if implemented, achieve specific results," the Prime Minister affirmed that the Government, the Prime Minister's commitment is to always stand by, share, encourage, and maximize the absorption of opinions from associations and the business community to build and develop a strong and united business community, powerful and cohesive entrepreneurs; trust that the Vietnamese business community will continue to accompany, share difficulties, and support the Party, State, Government, and Prime Minister in guiding leadership to seize new opportunities, new opportunities, enhance internal capacity, and contribute to building a strong and prosperous Vietnam.
