In the context of complex developments of the coronavirus, the VSS has strengthened COVID-19 preventive and control measures following the instructions of the Government, the Prime Minister, the National Steering Committee on COVID-19, the health ministry and other agencies. The implementation of COVID-19 preventive and control measures has also been monitored to make sure that the practice was strictly carried out, in which responsibility of the head of each unit was attached much importance to.

VSS called for heads of VSS units and social insurance agencies in cities and provinces to proactively and flexibly develop their own working schemes to make sure that all works related to the settlement of insurance benefits for participants were not affected whilst following pandemic prevention regulations. Concurrently, VSS conducted timely COVID-19 testing for the staff when necessary to reduce the spread of the epidemic.

One of the bright spots last year was the timely launch of the Government's unexpected supportive packages for employees and businesses affected by the pandemic.

Contributions made by the staff are always recognised by the sector’s leaders and people.

Achievements are the results of trust and strength of the great unity, serving as a solid foundation, an important premise, and valuable lessons to create new opportunities for VSS in the coming years, he said.
