Nearly 600 social insurance (SI) books, more than 10,000 health insurance (HI) cards and more than 3,000 gifts for difficult situation people awarded

The program “Awarding SI books, HI cards, gifts – Bring warm Lunar New Year 2022 to poor people” is deployed in 63 provinces/cities from Jan 17th – 20th 2022 in order to share, spread the love and bring the warm holiday to poor people in whole country. This VSS’yearly activity aims to encourage moral, support patients to overcome disease and dificulties. Deployment results as followed:
In VSS
VSS General Director Nguyen The Manh directly awarded 375 gifts to patients with difficult situation in 15 central hospitals in Hanoi; 140 gifts to students in ethnic minority schools , 50 HI cards and 100 SI books in Son La province (Van Ho, Chieng Xuan and Long Sap commune).

-Social Security offices of 63 provinces/cities awarded 3,146 gifts to patients with dificult situations, in which 50 gifts in 20 provinces were awarded including: Dien Bien (409 gifts), Hai Duong (140 gifts), Can Tho (110 gifts), Đak Lak (107 gifts), Hoà Bình (105 gifts), Hau Giang (100 gifts), Ha Tinh (90 gifts), An Giang (85 gifts), Hanoi (80 gifts), Long An (80 gifts), Phu Tho (80 gifts), Phu Yen (75 gifts), Qaảng Binh (70 gifts), Hung Yen (65 gifts), Ba Ria – Vung Tau (65 gifts), Lang Son (60 gifts), TP. Ho Chi Minh (60 gifts), Quang Tri (55 gifts), Ha Nam (50 gifts), Quang Nam (50 gifts).
- 02 provincial social security offices awarded 487 SI books to poor people: Da Nang (477 books), Ha Giang (10 books).
- 40 provincial social security offices awarded 10,180 HI cards to poor people, including 5,655 cards with 3- month validity, 2,478 cards with 6-month validity, 277 cards with 9-month validity, 1,700 cards with 12-month validity.
The sum for SI books, HI cards and gifts values more than VND 5.9 billions which was contributed from the entire VSS industry’s public servants with one-day wage in order to multiply human and noble values of SI and HI policies, spread love to bring warm Lunar new year holiday to poor people in all country.
This program has been launched and organized by VSS since 2020 to respond PM’s emulation movement “Joining hands for the Poor- Leaving no-one left behind”, combining with the thankful activity to SI, HI participants on the occasion of Lunar New Year. This program also contributes to help people access to and enjoy SI, HI policy so that the Party and State’s policies on social security become practical.
