This Law on amendments to the Law on Health insurance is expected to have solutions and breakthroughs to implement the reform roadmap of social insurance policies so that social insurance can truly become a main pillar of the social security system and gradually expand coverage, towards the goal of universal social insurance.

Thanks to VssID - Digital Social Insurance application, by looking up the process of participating and contributing social and health insurance premiums on it, 20 employees of Hung Hau Agriculture Joint Stock Company (Sa Dec Industrial Park - Sa Dec city, Dong Thap province) found out the company on purpose delayed their payment of social and health insurance premiums. Facing the specific evidence and data on the VssID application, these employees actively requested the Company's Board of Directors to handle the amount of social, health and unemployment insurance contributions that were unpaid by the Company. Especially, with the participation of the Sa Dec Social Security Office and the trade union, by the afternoon of May 20, 2021, this company has overcome all debts of social, health and unemployment insurance with an amount of more than 2 billion dong, so that the rights of more than 170 employees have been ensured in accordance with regulations.

The Vietnam Social Security (VSS) has just sent an Official Letter to the Ministry of Health (MoH) and the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) proposing to raise the support level for contributions of voluntary social insurance and household-based health insurance engaged in agriculture, forestry, fishery and salt production to increase the coverage of these policies, helping disadvantaged people feel secure in labor and production and contributing to ensuring social security.

Deputy General Director Le Hung Son attended and directed the Conference. Attending the conference were representatives of the Department of Social Insurance (Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA)); departments and committees of the VSS and the Southern Social Security Offices.
