It may not be necessary to attach a photo of the ID card when registering for electronic transactions with the VSS 

Specifically, at present, the IT Center (VSS) has connected with the National Population Database to authenticate citizen information when citizens register an electronic transaction account with the agency on VSS Public Service Portal and on VssID application.

Therefore, when citizens use ID numbes to register for an electronic transaction account: The system will automatically compare and authenticate the information declared by the citizen and the information that the database of the VSS is in charge of management (Full name, ID number, date of birth, gender) with information stored in the National Population Database:

- If the information matches: The system does not require citizens to attach the ID card's photo.

- If the information does not match or is not in the National Population Database: The system requires citizens to attach a photo of their identification documents (ID/Passport)./.
