Agribank and VSS to guarantee the benefits for customers and insurance participants

Vietnam Social Security held the 2nd position for ICT Index The Ministry of Information and Communications has just announced the Vietnam ICT Index 2020. Accordingly, Vietnam Social Security (VSS) continues to hold the 2nd position ICT Index 2020 among ministries, ministerial-level agencies, and government agencies. In particular, this year, VSS once again returned to the top position in the ranking of Technical Infrastructure.

The Vietnam ICT Index 2020 report provides information on the current situation of ICT development and application in Vietnam. Furthermore, it gives assessments and ratings on the readiness for ICT development and application based on data collected from ministries, branches and localities; economic groups, corporations and commercial banks.

According to the ranking results, in the group of 17 ministries, ministerial-level agencies and government agencies with public services, the top 3 positions for the ICT Index again belong to the Ministry of Finance, VSS and Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Particularly for VSS, this year marked a comeback to the leading position in the ranking of Technical Infrastructure. However, in terms of IT application and online public services, VSS lost the second place compared to 2019, etc.

Next, the Ministry of Information and Communication (MIC) ranked 4th (up 1 rank compared to last year) thanks to its score improvement in the IT Application Index, especially the Component Index of Online Public Services. The MIC and the Ministry of Health (MoH) are currently two ministries that have upgraded 100% of online public services to level 4. The Ministry of Industry and Trade jumped 5 ranks and entered Top 5, the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Transport both jumped 3 ranks to be in Top 10. The Ministry of Education and Training fell 4 ranks from 7th to 11th and the Ministry of Home Affairs dropped 13 ranks from 4th to bottom of the Rankings.

In the group of 7 government agencies without public services, the top place is still the Vietnam News Agency. This is also the unit ranking No. 1 in the previous 2 periods of ranking the ICT Index. The next positions in the ranking of this group belonged to the Committee for Ethnic Minorities, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, Vietnam Television, Government Inspectorate, Radio The Voice of Vietnam and Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, respectively.

In the group of 63 localities, the top 3 positions continued to belong to Da Nang, Thua Thien-Hue and Quang Ninh. Can Tho rose 6 places to rise to 4th position in the Rankings. The two major cities, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, both increased by 2 ranks at 5th and 6th, respectively, in the rankings of provinces and cities. Lai Chau lies at the last position in the Ranking of provinces and cities.

With the ICT Index 2020 ranking of 34 commercial banks, the top 5 positions are Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), Tien Phong Bank, Vietnam Technological and Commercial Bank (Techcombank), Nam A Bank and Viet A Bank, respectively. Among 13 groups and corporations participating in the ranking, the leading position is Vietnam Electricity, and the next 4 positions belonged to Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation, Vietnam National Chemical Group, Hanoi Alcohol Beer and Beverage Company, Machines And Industrial Equipment Corporation.

Improving Vietnam's ICT index in general as well as the index for ministries, sectors, localities, organizations and businesses in particular is crucial for the implementation of key projects and strategies in the coming time such as: National Digital Transformation Program; National digital transformation program to 2025, orientation to 2030; The strategy on digital technology business development - Make in Vietnam, etc., which helps ministries, branches and localities improve the ranking of PCI, PAR, PAPI and EBI Indicators; at the same time, contributing to help Vietnam improve the ranking of e-Government in the EDGI Ranking of the United Nations.
