Mr. Nguyen Huy Hung, Head of Department of Organization and Personnel of Hanoi Tax Department excitedly shared that this application has helped participants of social insurance and health insurance to create transparency during their process of contributing and enjoying social and health insurance. "This is the desire of most people participating in social and health insurance.", stressed Hung.

The application of VssID - Digital Social Insurance was officially deployed by Vietnam Social Security (VSS) since November 16, 2020, with many practical features and utilities that help participants of social, health and unemployment insurance to capture their own process of participating in and enjoying these policies; thereby, self-monitoring and protecting their welfare interests.

After more than 3 months of implementation, as of March 9, 2021, the country witnessed more than 620 thousand downloads, installs and use of the VssID application. Also, there are nearly 6,000 turns of using health insurance cards on the VssID application when receiving medical care covered by health insurance at medical facilities in 10 provinces of the Central Highlands (the region piloting the use of health insurance cards on the app instead of paper health insurance cards for medical care), such as: Ha Tinh - 264 turns, Quang Binh - 795 turns, Quang Tri - 499 turns, Thua Thien-Hue - 461 turns, Da Nang - 1994 turns, Binh Dinh - 218 turns, Quang Nam - 919 turns, Kon Tum 616 turns, etc.

Through tracking the user's feedback on two app stores, up to now, there have been more than 1,000 comments, reviews and suggestions on VssID application. In particular, many comments expressed their joy when VSS provided an application with features to look up and track information on payment and benefits of social, health and unemployment insurance, history of receiving medical care under health insurance, etc. to helping people and employees actively manage information and directly supervise to ensure their interests of participation in social, health and unemployment insurance.

To continue to help people easily access and use the VssID application, VSS has actively been deploying editing/translating, producing brochures on instructions for using the VssID application (in Vietnamese and foreign languages); It is expected that in the second quarter of 2021, the VSS will hold 5 consultation conferences and dialogues to give guidance on electronic transaction account registration to use the VssID application for the staff in charge of social and health insurance of the central office block in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang.

Along with that, the social insurance agencies of provinces and cities are also actively organizing activities to support and guide people and employees in the area to register electronic transaction accounts, install and use the VssID application.

The implementation of the VssID application is an important step, which strongly promotes the digital transformation of the Vietnam's Social Insurance industry as in the guidance spirit of the Prime Minister and contributes to building a digital government and a digital nation; effectively implementing Resolution No. 28-NQ/TW of the 12th Central Committee of the Communist Party on reform of social insurance policy.
