“VssID – Digital social security” provides many features and ultilitties

“VssID – Digital social security” is available on “App Store” (for the iOS platform) and “Google Play” (for the Android platform).  

Specific functions are as follows:

- Providing information on Health insurance card; enrollment record of social insurance, unemployment insurance, work injuries - occupational diseases insurance, health insurance; entitlement information on lump-sum payment for sickness, maternity, work injuries – occupational diseases; medical treatment - examination book (users can only ask the application for their records of medical treatment and examination from 2017, the time when Viet Nam Social Security and medical treatment – examination establishments covered by health insurance officially started the interconnection of the medical  treatment – examination data on the Health insurance Inspection Information System, till now)…

- Providing search ultility for the social security number; the social security office of registration; the medical treatment – examination establishment registered for health insurance; the medical treatment – examination authorized to issue the certification for absence from work with social security entitlement; unit participating in social security; collection agency for voluntary social insurance, household health insurance…   

- Providing 24/7 online support (Hotline: 1900 9068, email, frequently asked questions) for timely explaination, consultation, response to people’s questions on social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance. 

- Providing updates on the activities of Viet Nam Social Security; video clips on social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance schemes and policies… for the improvement of people’s awareness on the benefits, rights as well as instructions of social insurance, health insurance. 

- Aiming at the integration of health insurance and digital social insurance book as the alternative for the ordinary card and book; public service; online payment… in the future.

Easy, convenient setup and usage

“VssID – Digital social security” is available on smart phones, tablets with at least Android 4.1 or iOS 9.0 platform. Users can access the applications store of these two operating systems and search for keyword “VssID”, download then install like other applications. After installation, users can start by touching the icon “VssID” on the screen of the portable devices. Users are required to register the social security e-transaction account with the social security office in order to sign-in and get access to features, ultilities of the application. Specific instruction is as follows:

- To be able to sign-in and use all functions, ultilities of the application, users are required to register e-transaction account with social security office. Users access the link https://dichvucong.baohiemxahoi.gov.vn/#/dang-ky and follow the instruction (the phone number must be correct for information confirmation and OTP code for further transactions).

- After registration, users print the declaration (with their signature and full name), then submit the declaration to the one-stop-shop of the social security office (which users’ve registered with and declared in the document); provide the identification card/passport for information authentication.

- In case of valid dossier, users will be granted an activated personal account for e-transaction with the social security office and have the confirmation notification attached with information of the account sent to their email (if available) and registered phone number from the Public service Portal of Viet Nam Social Security. Users are responsible for changing the initial password and changing it at least once every six months for safety and security.    

- In case of invalid dossier, users will have the rejection notification sent to their email (if available) and registered phone number from the Public service Portal of Viet Nam Social Security, explaining the reason for rejection. Users then follow this notification to complete their dossier. Users’ confidentiality is secured 

Confidentiality is Viet Nam Social Security’s top priority in developing VssID – Digital social security. This application will provide personal information with high level of security (such as information on the health insurance card; enrollment and entitlement record of social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance; record of medical treatment – examination coverd by health insurance…), only the account owner can look up and make use of the data. Also, Viet Nam Social Security is aiming at the integration of public service, online payment service… on the application. Therefore, to be able to access the application, users are required to register the e-transaction account with social security office (the same authentication process with the registration of Internet banking with banks) for the confidentiality of users.
