More participants are added to health insurance

This is one of the contents specified in the Decision No. 505/QD-BHXH by Vietnam Social Security issued on March 27, 2020. The Decision aims at amending and supplementing a number of articles on the process of collecting premiums of social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, accident and occupational diseases insurance; and managing social insurance books and health insurance cards attached to Decision No. 595/QD-BHXH dated April 14, 2017.

Decision No. 505/QD-BHXH has added groups of subjects participating in health insurance in accordance with Article 12 of the Law on Health Insurance and guiding documents paid by employers.
Accordingly, this group includes 03 objects, namely:
First, relatives of defense workers and officials who are serving in the Army.
Second, relatives of workers in the police force serving in the People's Public Security Forces.
Third, relatives of other people working in cipher organizations.
At the same time, Decision No. 505/QD-BHXH also adds a group of subjects participating in households health insurance, including: dignitaries, religious officers, and clergypersons; People living in social protection establishments without assistance of health insurance premiums from the state budget.
This Decision takes effect from May 1, 2020. Documents previously issued by Vietnam Social Security and contrary to this Decision will expire./.
