The emulation and award work of emulation group No 1 (northern provinces and cities) has been closely supervised by VSS, provincial people’s committees and Party committees, said Nguyen Xuan Hong, permanent emulation representative of Hai Phong City’s social security agency.

Boards of directors and Party committees of the units in the group are always properly aware of the role and importance of the emulation and award work. They always regard emulation and award work as a motivation to encourage cadres, civil servants and public employees to complete their assigned tasks, he said.

The northern localities now have more than 2.2 million compulsory social security card holders, accounting for 32.59 per cent of labor force and 92.36 per cent of the target.

More than 11.8 million people participated in health insurance, reaching 91.09 per cent of the population.

The collection of nine northern provinces hit more than VND25.8 trillion or 45.53 per cent of the annual target.

The issuance of social security notebooks and health insurance cards is on schedule. The settlement of social security, health insurance and unemployment insurance regimes ensures accuracy.

In the future, emulation group No 1 will continue to closely follow and effectively implement Resolution No 28-NQ/TW on social security policy reform.

They will focus on realising all targets and tasks assigned by the VSS on schedule, especially targets of collection and participants in social security, health insurance, unemployment insurance and avoid insurance debts and evasion.

They also set the target to focus on health insurance inspection, healthcare fund management, administrative procedure reform, IT application, settlement of social security benefits, issuance of health insurance notebooks and cards.

Emulation and award work is regarded as one of the important solutions contributing to the successful implementation of the sector's political tasks.

VSS deputy general director Nguyen Dinh Khuong awarded the certificate of merit from VSS general director to Hai Phong City’s and Hai Duong Province’s social security agencies.

Speaking at the conference, VSS deputy general director Nguyen Dinh Khuong highly appreciated the results achieved by the emulation group, saying that they contributed to ensuring political, socio-economic stability in the area and together with other VSS units to perform tasks assigned by the Government.

He urged the group to identify new outstanding role models and find new ideas for emulation campaigns as well as review the work to draw experience.

Also at the conference, VSS deputy general director Nguyen Dinh Khuong awarded the emulation flag and the merit from the VSS to groups and individuals who made excellent achievements in recent years.
