Accordingly, the Prime Minister appoints Mr. Nguyen Duy Thang - Deputy Minister of Home Affairs and concurrently holds the position of Member of Vietnam Social Security Management Board to replace Mr. Tran Anh Tuan - Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, who has been assigned to be in charge of another work field.

The Prime Minister appointed Mr. Le Quan - Deputy Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and concurrently held the position of Member of Vietnam Social Security Management Board to replace Mr. Doan Mau Diep.

According to the provisions of Decree No. 01/2016/ND-CP, the Management Board of Vietnam Social Security helps the Government and the Prime Minister to direct and supervise the implementation of regimes, policies, revenues, expenditures, management and use of social insurance and health insurance funds of Vietnam Social Security. Directing the formulation and adoption of the strategy for development of Vietnam's social insurance industry; long-term, 5-year and annual plans on implementation of social insurance and health insurance regimes; scheme on preservation and growth of social insurance and health insurance funds before being submitted to the Prime Minister for approval; supervise and inspect the implementation of plans for revenue, expenditure, management and use of social insurance and health insurance funds. Propose to competent state agencies to amend and supplement the State's regimes and policies on social insurance and health insurance to ensure the safety of the fund; Propose to competent agencies to elaborate, amend and supplement regimes, policies and laws on social insurance and health insurance, branch development strategies, consolidate the organizational system of Vietnam Social Security and mechanisms for management and use of social insurance and health insurance funds, etc./.
