Viet Nam Social Security strengthens cyber security

From November 18 to 19, 2019 in Da Nang, the Viet Nam Social Security held a conference on cyber security. Pham Luong Son, Deputy Director of the Viet Nam Social Security attended and delivered a speech at the conference.

During his opening remarks, Deputy Director Pham Luong Son said the Viet Nam Social Security had made many efforts in administrative reform and technology application to enhance management, better serve people and enterprises, contribute to improving the business environment and boost national competitiveness as requested in the Resolution No.19 issued by the Government on May 15, 2018.

According to the Deputy Director, the Viet Nam Social Security’s information portal has more than 20,000 accounts of officers and connects with more than 12,000 medical facilities and some other 500,000 organizations using public services nationwide. Each year, the portal receives and processes millions of public service dossiers. Since the beginning of 2019, more than 48 million dossiers have been processed online. Moreover, the portal connects with other ministries and State agencies including the General Department of Taxation, Ministry of Information and Communications, Ministry of Justice, Government Office and providers of insurance value added network (I-VAN).

During two days of the conference, participants attended diverse sessions of cyber security in social insurance, content and implementation of the law on cyber security, experiences in strengthening cyber security, e-signatures for State agencies, the law on protection of state secrets, threats and solutions to cyber-attacks.

Officers of the Viet Nam Social Security acquired the latest information and solutions to protect against cyber-attacks and ensure cyber security to improve their performances and services./.
