Accordingly, the VSS has called for efforts to perfect the IT infrastructure, covering computers, cyber security, data centre, software system, databases and online public services.

At the same time, it will complete the centralised management of a family-based database, creating a foundation to provide participation numbers, manage and use social insurance books and electronic health insurance cards, and build a national database on compulsory and voluntary social, health schemes.

The sector will also step up provision of online public services at the third and fourth levels.

In 2018, the VSS provided 19 online public services with 47.72 million dossiers received and handled.

It has officially launched a document control and management system at social insurance agencies at central, provincial and district levels linked with the Government’s Office. Initial results have proven effective, with the work implemented in a rapid, timely, scientific and economical manner. The system has well served the management work of the entire sector, contributing to building the e-Government.

The agency has exchanged data with ministries and agencies in the national data axis, built documents suggesting the guarantee of the safety of the sector’s key information, operated the IT management centre and the customer service centre, and provided consultations and cleared up concerns of people and labourers regarding social, health and voluntary insurance.

The sector is promptly building a 4.0 ecosystem to serve people and businesses with new services such as SMS, online payment, mobile social insurance app, Chatbot and fanpage.

The VSS is striving to complete the building and operation of an electronic database on social insurance management with cutting edge technologies by 2020. The database is expected to give a facelift to the sector in service management and supply in a centralised, rapid and accurate way, towards the satisfaction of people and businesses, contributing to fulfilling the target of sustainable social security./.
