On September 22nd, Vietnam Social Security issued Plan No. 2958/KH-BHXH on organizing a dialogue conference between VSS and Japanese FDI enterprises in Vietnam in the Northern region on implementing policies and laws on social and health insurance. Specifically, the conference will be held on October 24th, in Hanoi, with the participation of representatives of the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam; leaders of ministries, branches and nearly 100 Japanese enterprises in the provincies and cities of Hanoi, Hai Phong, Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Bac Giang and Bac Ninh.

The conference shall be organized to provide information, exchange and answer questions; At the same time, raise awareness, create consensus and cohesion of the FDI business sector in organizing the implementation of social and health insurance policies and implementing Decree No. 143/2018/ND-CP detailing the Law on Social Insurance and Law on Occupational Health and Safety (OSH) on compulsory social insurance for employees who are foreign citizens working in Vietnam.

Delegates attending the Conference will be informed about the results and situation of participating in social insurance and health insurance of Japanese businesses; the implementation of services and IT applications in the field of social insurance and health insurance; Implementation status of Decree No. 143/2018/ND-CP detailing the implementation of the Law on Social Insurance and the Law on occupational safety and hygiene (OSH) on compulsory social insurance for employees who are foreign citizens working in Vietnam.

To provide and exchange information on social and health insurance regimes and policies for Japanese and Vietnamese employees working at FDI enterprises and related issues such as: Impact of new-generation free trade agreements on Labor transition, social security policies for employees; The development and drafting of the Social Insurance Agreement between Vietnam and Japan aims to avoid double payment of social insurance and ensure the rights of employees in the two countries.

At the same time, to solve the difficulties and problems of businesses and employees in implementing policies and regimes on social and health insurance... Especially, on this occasion, VSS shall reward typical Japanese FDI individuals and enterprises in the Northern region that has excellent achievements in implementing social and health insurance policies to ensure the rights of workers in Vietnam. VSS shall award the Medal "For the cause of Vietnam Social Security" to individuals representing Japanese agencies and organizations in Vietnam who have actively contributed to the process of building and developing Vietnam's social insurance industry./.
