From April 20 to May 20, the National Assembly deputies will directly engage in a dialogue with workers on lump-sum social insurance withdrawal and other pressing issues, such as "black credit” – the “hot” issues that are currently concerning to the public.

The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has instructed labor unions in provinces and cities to organize topic-specific voter engagement sessions between the National Assembly deputies and workers. This is the first time that a topic-specific voter engagement dialogue has been held on a national scale, and it is also a focal activity of the 2023 Workers' Month.

Accordingly, workers will have a dialogue with National Assembly deputies on the "hot" issues public concern. Firstly, these topics include job creation, sustainable employment, raising incomes and improving the lives of workers; solutions for developing housing, recreational areas, and schools for workers’ children; the issue of lump-sum social insurance withdrawal and the problem of "black credit" among workers.

Thirdly, workers are encouraged to express their thoughts, aspirations, proposals, ideas, solutions, and determination to overcome all difficulties and promote socio-economic development.

According to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, a series of topic-specific voter meetings are expected to take place from April 20 to May 20. Each province and city is scheduled to hold at least one meeting with an emphasis on encouraging them to organize numerous meetings. During these meetings, workers will directly engage in dialogue with National Assembly deputies, as well as leaders from local People's Councils, People's Committees, departments, agencies and organizations to ensure the effectiveness of the program.

The Trade Union organization expects this dialogue will contribute to building the most feasible policies and laws, which are closely tied to reality. The aspirations, desires, recommendations, and proposals of voters will be summarized and reflected to the National Assembly and relevant authorities. Moreover, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour also encourages localities to invite National Assembly deputies to visit workers' dormitories and accommodation to gain a deeper understanding of their living conditions.
