At the conference, Deputy Director of the Provincial Social Security Office - Dao Cong Tuan said: As of December 31, 2022, the whole province had 637,911 participants in social, health, unemployment insurance, and occupational accident and disease insurance, reaching 100% of the plan assigned by the VSS; in which, 55,693 people participate in compulsory social insurance, reaching 100% of the plan;  over 17,000 people participate in voluntary social insurance, reaching 100% of the plan; 48,333 people participate in unemployment insurance, reaching 100.1% of the plan; participation in health insurance reached 100% of the plan, covering 95.6% of the province's population, 0.5% higher than the target assigned by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 546/QD-TTg dated April 29, 2022; the collection of social, health and unemployment insurance is over 1,600 billion VND, reaching 100.3% of the plan assigned by the VSS.

In 2022, the provincial social security agency settled social insurance benefits for more than 38,600 cases with an amount of over VND 337.7 billion; conducted the assessment and ensured benefits for over 1 million medical treatment visits covered by health insurance with a cost of over VND 530.44 billion. The settlement of regimes and policies on social and health insurance is paid attention to by the provincial social security agency, in order to ensure accuracy, sufficiency, timeliness, and safety.

Also in 2022, the provincial social security agency organized and coordinated with relevant agencies in the province to conduct 59 inspections and tests for 07 health insurance facilities and 8 units within the Industry; 18 collection agents, payment representatives and 228 employers. Through the inspection and examination, 156 employers have been requested to transfer the amount of VND 8.8 billion out of VND 14.8 billion of outstanding debts; handling arrears for 115 employees with arrears of over 460 million dong.

At the conference, representatives of the professional divisions of provincial social security of districts and towns analyzed the existing difficulties and limitations; shared solutions, and good practices in performing tasks and professional fields; thereby, proposing many solutions to successfully complete the assigned tasks in 2023.

At the conference, the provincial social security agency launched the patriotic emulation movement in 2023 with the theme "Solidarity, discipline, responsibility, flexibility, creativity, professionalism and efficiency". In particular, the goal is to strive for 96.5% of the population to participate in health insurance; strive to achieve and exceed the assigned collection of social, unemployment and health insurance premiums; drastically implement solutions to manage and control the cost estimates for medical treatment covered by health insurance; utilize the management costs of social, unemployment and health insurance in accordance with regulations, effectively and economically associated with the results of the development of participants of social, unemployment and health insurance.

In addition, the goal is to strengthen the inspection and examination of specialized social, unemployment and health insurance in accordance with the law, focusing on the application of information technology in inspection and examination; continue to focus on properly, fully and timely settlement and payment of social, unemployment and health insurance benefits for participants; strictly manage pensioners, monthly social insurance benefits, unemployment benefits and the payment of social, unemployment and health insurance benefits; exploit and bring into full play the efficiency of information technology and the industry's database to inspect, supervise and prevent fraud, fund abuse and profiteering.

At the conference, the Director of the Provincial Social Security Office - Ho Sy Nam - called on all civil servants, public officials and employees of the provincial social security agency to promote the spirit of solidarity, joint effort, consensus, and effective response to the patriotic emulation movement in 2023 launched by the VSS and Quang Tri Social Security Office; strive to excellently complete all assigned tasks, contributing to socio-economic development and ensuring social security in the locality.

On this occasion, at the Conference, collectives and individuals of the provincial social security agency were honored to receive the Certificate of Merit from the VSS General Director for outstanding achievements in implementing Resolution No. 96/NQ-BCS of the Personnel Committee of the VSS Party on "Innovating, improving the quality and effectiveness of communication of social and health insurance in the new situation" for the period 2017-2021; the Certificate of Merit of the VSS General Director was awarded to the collectives and individuals of the provincial social security agency for their outstanding achievements in the emulation movement “Emulation of Civil servants, public officials and employees of the VSS industry to bring culture in the workplace” for the period of 2019-2021; the Certificate of Merit from the Director of Provincial Social Security Office was awarded to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the thematic emulation movement in the last 3 months of 2022./.
