The official letter stated that by monitoring, grasping situation, resolving sickness regime to Covid-19 infected employees in province/municipality social security offices in recent times, the number of dossiers has increased rapidly and is going to increase highly in the next time. Vietnam Social Security requires Director of province/municipality social security offices to implement the following contents:

Firstly, to arrange human resource, prepare fund, administrative procedure reform, IT appliance to timely, exactly, adequately receive and resolve interests of employees infected by Covid-19 with eligible dossiers under regulation on Article 1, 2 Clause 21 of Circular No. 56/2017/TT-BYT.

Secondly, to propagate to employees and employers on encouraging social insurance regime payment via employees’ personal account for resolving policy and enjoyment to become transparent, quick and convenient.

Thirdly, to receive and resolve sickness regime to employees under new regulation as soon as competent authorities issue regulation on amending, supplementing dossiers as a basis for sickness benefits settlement to Covid-19 infected employees.

With the acrossing aim on setting social and health insurance participants’ rights and benefits as the first priority, for the past time, with Ministries, related ministries, committees, industries, Vietnam Social Security always closely follows practical situation, grasps, timely shares employees’ difficulties in completing dossiers on implementing social insurance enjoyment procedures. Accordingly, Vietnam Social Security has proactively sent written reports to Ministry of Health for solutions to handle arising problems to create favorable conditions for Covid-19 infected employees to enjoy social insurance. MOH also has submitted a written request to the Government to issue a Resolution on the recognition of 7 document types as valid as the certificate of leave to enjoy social insurance so that social security agency has a basis to make a dossier for enjoying sickness benefits to Covid-19 infected employees.

While waiting for new regulation on  amending and supplementing dossiers as a basis of  resolving sickness benefits to Covid-19 affected employees, Vietnam Social Security gets all resources available to timely direct social security in localities to closely coordinate with medical facilities and related units to receive, resolve timely, exactly, adequately social security benefits to Covid-19 infected employees under regulation.
