As a result, after 5 days of drastic implementation, the Vietnamese social insurance industry has basically completed the policy of reducing the contribution rate from 1% to 0% to the Unemployment Insurance Fund within a period of 12 months (from October 1st, 2021 to September 30, 2022) for 381,925 enterprises (equivalent to about 10,461,199 employees) with a total amount of over 7,653 billion VND. Also, 7,416 employees received support from the Unemployment Insurance Fund with a total amount of over 20.5 billion.

Feedback from businesses shows that businesses across the country highly appreciate the timely and humane support package of the National Assembly and the Government at the right time when businesses are severely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. In particular, this support package is maximally simplified in terms of administrative procedures and implementation time. Thanks to a centralized data system, social security agencies at all levels directly handled the procedures and completed the reduction of contributions to the UI Fund for each enterprise. Most businesses are excited because there are no barriers when accessing this support package of the National Assembly and the Government. The reduced amount paid at a difficult time has helped businesses have more funds to maintain production and business activities, continue the labor supply chain, thereby clearly demonstrating the humanity and superiority of the unemployment insurance policy of the Party and State.
