With the overarching theme "SI – A Lifetime Social Security Foundation," the peak month aims to further affirm the pivotal role of SI and HI policies in the social security system, while also enhancing awareness, reinforcing trust, and encouraging people to actively participate in and benefit from these policies.

Accordingly, communication activitieswill focus on providing comprehensive and timely information about the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws; clarifying the rights and responsibilities of participants and employers; and emphasizing the practical significance of participating in SI and HI, especially voluntary SI. This will contribute to raising awareness among workers, particularly in the informal sector, about the long-term benefits of participating in SI, thereby reducing the situation of lump-sum SI withdrawals.

One of the peak month’s highlights is the simultaneous organization of launching and kick-off activitieson May 9, 2026, nationwide. In addition, localities will promote the organization of communication conferences, direct dialogues; small group consultations, approaching each household and business household; and establishing "community communication points" in residential areas, markets, malls, and industrial parks, to bring policies closer to the people.

In parallel with direct methods, digital communicationwill also be strongly enhanced. Units will step up the production and dissemination…diverse communication products such as videos, infographics, audio news, talk shows, and policy consultation livestreams on the Electronic Information Portal, social networks, and the VssID application - Digital Social Security. They will also  coordinate with press agencies and the local broadcasting systems to expand information coverage, especially in remote, isolated, and ethnic minority areas.

In addition, this month also emphasizes spreading good models and effective practices, honoring advanced examples, and enhancing propaganda to prevent and combat violations of the law, profiteering from the SI and HI funds, and warning about scams and frauds related to social security policies.

VSS requests units and localities to implement propaganda activities in a coordinated, practical, effective and cost-efficient manner, with a strong focus on the grassroots level, promoting the role of Party committees, authorities, socio-political organizations, and the collection agents in mobilizing and expanding participation. At the same time, units should actively mobilize…social resources to donate SI books and HI cards to people in difficult circumstances, contributing to spreading the humane nature of the policy.

The organization of the Peak Month is not only an annual communication activity but also a crucial solution to expand the coverage of SI and HI, towards achieving universal SI and HI coverage, ensuring sustainable social security.
