Guidelines for Communication during nationwide social insurance deployment month

Viet Nam Social Security issued the Official Dispatch No 1064/BHXH-TT on April 22, 2024, providing guidelines for communication during the nationwide social insurance deployment month (May).

 Local social security offices organise diverse and flexible communication activities to ensure appropriateness and effectiveness

Communication through various forms

Visual communication: Organising banners, slogans with messages on main streets of cities, towns, and crowded places and at the headquarters of social security offices at all levels.

The banners and slogans will be displayed from May 6, 2024, to May 21, 2024.

Direct communication: Depending on the actual situation and the specific conditions of the locality to organise direct communication activities to ensure appropriateness and effectiveness. Specific direct communication activities include:

  • Launching ceremonies to respond to the month of deploying nationwide social insurance, mobilising people to participate in voluntary social insurance, and family health insurance.
  • Organising communication conferences; communication through customer care activities: advisory conferences, dialogues and hotline 19009068.
  • Direct communication at: the "One-stop" shop of provincial/district social security offices; Public Administrative Centres of provincial and city People's Committees; Job Service Centres.
  • Integration of communication with activities held during Worker's Month and Occupational Safety and Health Action Month at the local level, combined with distributing communication materials (leaflets, brochures).
  • Organising advisory booths, safety booths.
  • Organising mobile communication campaigns.

Communication through mass media:

- Coordinating the dissemination of news, articles, seminars, sketches, infographics, motion graphics on social insurance policies on the media channels of central and local press agencies.

- Enhancing radio broadcasts of news, special features, radio sketches about social insurance policies on community loudspeaker systems.

Communication through the Internet and social networks:

- Increasing the quantity and frequency of posting and sharing in-depth articles, interviews, talk shows, news clips and infographics on Viet Nam Social Security Portal and the portals of social insurance offices in provinces and cities; portals of departments, sectors, socio-political organisations at the local level; social media channels of Viet Nam Social Security and its offices in provinces and cities.

- Organising livestreams, policy understanding contests on the internet platform.

Communication through communication products: Editing, designing, and producing communication products such as leaflets, brochures, infographics, motion graphics, radio/television sketches, promotional items about social insurance policies.

To effectively implement communication tasks during the month, Viet Nam Social Security has assigned specific tasks to its subordinate units and social security offices in provinces and cities.

Accordingly, the Viet Nam Social Security’s Communication Centre was tasked as the focal point to supervise and guide social security offices in localities in implementing communication tasks, ensuring flexibility and suitability to the actual conditions at the local level./.
