On December 13, 2019, in Hanoi, the Department of Children, Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs in collaboration with Childfund Vietnam and Microsoft Vietnam Corporation officially announced the children protection application "Switchboard 111” on two popular phone platforms, IOS and Android.

The application will allow reporting and feedback on suspected child abuse cases to receive the necessary support, while supporting the research and development of information systems in related activities to protect children.
In addition, a library of materials has been developed to introduce basic information on children's rights and some safety education skills for children.
Mr. Dang Hoa Nam, Director of the Department of Children said: Along with the State investment in the field of child protection and care, the support of organizations and individuals will strongly contribute to the protection of children in Vietnam. The support of Microsoft and Childfund Vietnam in the development of the app "Call Center 111" is a testament to this. On the other hand, the support of high-tech companies in developing technology software applications in child protection will greatly contribute to improving child protection effectiveness, especially online children protection in today's era.
The Director of the Department of Children said that the theme of the event is very important and meaningful to develop a special public service on child protection in the coming time, aiming to put all children to live in the environment that is safe and healthy. The publication of Call Center 111 facilitates all users to be able to connect with children, anytime, anywhere and protect children even in the network environment./.
