This is information that the Minister, Chairman of the Government Office Mai Tien Dung said at the Prime Minister's Working Group meeting to check the implementation of the tasks assigned by the Prime Minister in 2019 and deploy the 2020’s tasks with 9 ministries and branches on the morning of December 13.

Mr. Dung said, until 4PM on December 12, which is after 4 days of opening the National Public Service Portal, 2.3 million people had access and 1,358 administrative procedures files were solved. In particular, there are 581 applications for new and low-voltage electricity, 693 applications for changing driver licenses and international driving licenses, 51 documents related to reissuance of health insurance cards due to damage or loss.

“This is the initial product, so in the process of implementation, we will continue to enrich data, bringing other public services to integrate on the national public service portal such as additional declaration of customs records, corporate tax declaration...” - Minister Mai Tien Dung said.

The national public service portal has just been opened by the Government on December 9, initially putting 8 public services into use. In particular, there are 5 public services performed in 63 provinces and cities, including: changing driver's license; notice of promotional activities; reissuance of health insurance card due to loss or damage; low-voltage electricity supply services (serving people and households), medium-voltage electricity supply services (serving businesses) and integrated utilities for electricity payment.

3 public services are provided at ministerial level: international driver's license, promotion registration, and group of services for granting certificates of origin of goods. Besides, there are 2 utilities for electronic tax payment for businesses and utilities for electricity payment.

In addition, Ho Chi Minh City has more business household registration and tax registration services; Hanoi has services on birth registration and marital status confirmation; Quang Ninh City and Hai Phong City added birth registration service.

According to the report of Vietnam Social Security, on average, there are about 2.6 million applications for reissuance of health insurance cards annually. When implementing online public services, it will reduce 1 working day with 4 trips for this procedure, thus, hundreds of billion dong per year for fees are saved./.
