According to VSS’ statistics, at the end of April 2022, the entire industry has paid to more than 1.45 million of covid-19 infected people enjoying sickness benefits with the sum of VND 1,945 billion. Since 2021 till now, VSS has paid sickness benefits to more than 1.5 million of covid-19 infected people.

Tightening lump-sum payment regulations is necessary to achieve universal coverage of social insurance among workers and sustainable welfare.
