A total of 45 Health Insurance cards and 10 Social Insurance books were handed directly to residents facing difficult circumstances in Hop Thanh commune, Lao Cai City, Lao Cai Province

Emphasizing the significance of the Program of gifting Social Insurance books and Health Insurance cards, Deputy General Director Dao Viet Anh, shared his hope for involvement and contributions from communities and enterprises. In order to encourage more individuals in difficult circumstances to participate in Social Insurance and receive healthcare through Health Insurance cards, on November 29, 2023, VSS’ Director General signed Plan No. 4033/KH-BHXH to organize the program of gifting Social Insurance books and Health Insurance cards to those in need, bringing warmth during the Tet holiday to the poor in the Year of the Tiger nationwide.

In Hop Thanh commune, Lao Cai City, Lao Cai Province, Anh, along with representatives of local authorities, and sponsors, personally handed over 45 Health Insurance cards and 10 Social Insurance books out of a total of 50 Social Insurance books and 600 Health Insurance cards to individuals facing difficult circumstances in Lao Cai City. The remaining Health Insurance cards and Social Insurance books will be distributed by the Lao Cai Provincial Social Security to the residents.

On this occasion, on behalf of the leadership of the VSS industry, Mr. Dao Viet Anh expressed deep gratitude and appreciation to the sponsors, especially seven banks: Vietnam Agriculture and Rural Development Bank; Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam; Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam; Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade of Vietnam; Military Joint Stock Bank; PVI Insurance; and Vietnam Post Corporation, for their generous contributions and support in the social security activities and the program on gifting Social Insurance books and Health Insurance cards to those in need.

At the same time, he expressed the desire for local authorities to continue their attention and guidance in the Social Insurance and Health Insurance work on the local level, aiming to increase the number of  in the social security network participants, in line with the humanitarian and preferential policies of our Party and State.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Ngo Vu Quoc, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Lao Cai City, highly praised VSS’ practical efforts and the timely support, encouragement, and assistance from sponsors. He acknowledged the meaningful and practical impact of this program, stating, "Through the gifted Social Insurance book and Health Insurance card today, it will contribute to creating a deep sense of peace and trust among the people regarding the social security policies of the Party and the State." In the coming time, Lao Cai Province will continue to enhance communication activities - a key to bring Social and Health Insurance policies into daily life, contributing to the establishment of a sustainable social security network in the province.
