This morning (May 23rd), Vietnam Social Security cooperates with Vietnam Post to hold the launching ceremony of "Responding to the Month of campaigning for the implementation of national social insurance - Propagation and mobilization in voluntary social insurance participation" synchronized from the central to provincial and district levels nationwide. Attending the ceremony were Deputy General Director of Vietnam Social Security Tran Dinh Lieu, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Pham Anh Tuan, General Director of Vietnam Post Chu Quang Hao and representatives of related departments and agencies.

Opened since December 9, 2019, the National Public Service Portal has achieved positive results, which demonstrates the Government's goal of serving the people and businesses. In particular, there have been 140,000 accounts registered, over 35 million visits, over 7.3 million status sync records and over 68,000 records handled through the National Public Service Portal.

Viet Nam Social Security has ordered its units in provinces and cities nationwide to check and confirm the list of employees who have been temporarily suspended from the performance of labour contracts or taken unpaid leave, as well as employees who lost their jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the coming time, the Ministry of Health (MoH) and Vietnam Social Security (VSS) will unify to closely coordinate and make a commitment to build electronic health records for people as in the Resolution 20/NQ-TW and other relevant documents, with quality assurance, effectiveness and in accordance with the basis of social insurance code number, serving the professional purposes of health facilities as well as those of management of medical examination and treatment costs in health insurance agencies, etc.

Viet Nam Social Security (VSS) on May 8 held a teleconference on social security and health insurance collection for this month and implementation of newly-amended and replaced decisions. The meeting was chaired by VSS deputy director general Tran Dinh Lieu.
