1.The number of people participating in types of insurance has sharply increased year after year

- Compulsory social insurance:the number of users in 1995 was 2.87 million, the number reached 15.77 million by the end of 2019.

- Voluntary social insurance: there were 6,110 people participatingin 2008, but the number was 574,000 by the end of 2019.

- Unemployment insurance: the number of participants in 2009 was nearly 6 million, the number reached about 13.4 million by the end of 2019.

- Health insurance: the number of participants was 11.5 million in 2003 and the number was about 85.9 million by the end of 2019.

2.The insurance sector has effectively implemented administrative reform and strengthenedapplication of information technology

- The number of administrative procedures fell from 263 to 27 between 2012 and 2019: equal to a decrease of 90 per cent.

- The transaction time was also cut from 335 hours to 147 hours between 2012 and 2019: equal to a decrease of 60 per cent.

- The number of electronic transactions has increased by 90 per cent so far.

3.Payment for participants

The insurance sector has paid forover 1.9 billion medical examinations and treatments

•  6.9 million unemployed people
•  more than 3.2 million retired people
• over 120 million are entitled to a lump-sum benefit, illness, maternity and health recovery./
