To implement a project to develop non-cash payment in the capital city, Hanoi Social Security Office plans to begin its e-payment in July 2018 on all accounts at commercial banks which signed cooperation contracts with agency on collecting social, health and voluntary insurance premiums.

To ensure that the insurance payment of sickness, maternity, and health rehabilitation reaches level 4 of public services in the 2018-2020, relevant units of the Hanoi Social Security Office will coordinate with the software developer to operate utilities for paying labourers through their personal accounts.

Towards the target of 100 percent of beneficiaries receiving insurance through their accounts, and increasing the rate of payment of pension and social insurance benefits through personal accounts, the Hanoi Social Security Office will also work with Hanoi Job Service Centre, post offices, and banks to step up communication campaigns to raise public awareness of the work.

The staff of the social security agencies of Hanoi and its districts and town branches are encouraged to implement non-cash transactions such as transferring money via ATMs, points of sale (POS), and other payment services.
