Deputy Minister-Director General of the Vietnam Social Security (VSS) Nguyen Thi Minh had a meeting in Hanoi on February 27 with VSS officials who will participate in the third specialised English language and technical training course at New Zealand’s Waikato University.

The meeting was also attended by Director of the International Cooperation Department Nguyen Tien Thanh, Director of the Organisation and Personnel Department Le Hung Son and Nguyen Lam Giang – Regional Director of Waikato University in Southeast Asia.

At the event, trainees were introduced to course content and assigned tasks during their study in New Zealand.

Addressing the event, Minh said the training courses in Waikato University have helped VSS become better and gain more intensive integration.

Notably, participants of the third course will have the chance to work with New Zealand social security agencies and take part in the 35th ASEAN Social Security Association (ASSA) Board Meeting slated for September in Vietnam after the course ends.

Minh asked the trainees to study seriously to acquire knowledge, especially in English language.

She also requested the International Cooperation Department help the trainees prepare thoroughly for moving abroad.
