In compliance with Document no. 2116/TCTTKDA-QLHC dated April 4^th, 2023 by the Project 06 Working Group providing guidance on technical standards, procedures, and conditions for ensuring connection to the e-identification and e-authentication system (version 1.0), Viet Nam Social Security (VSS) has coordinated with the Police Department for Administrative Management of Social Order (C06, Ministry of Public Security) to adjust and upgrade the VssID application. This adaptation meets the requirements for connecting and integrating VNeID accounts with the VssID application (allowing users to log in to the VssID application using the e-identification account VNeID). This feature was officially implemented on October 19^th, 2023. In the past month, there have been over 1.75 million logins to the VssID application using VNeID accounts across the entire nation.

This marks a significant advancement resulting from the implementation of Project 06. It aids users by eliminating the need to remember multiple account details, facilitates password retrieval, and enhances overall security….

To use the "Login with e-identification account" feature on the VssID application, users are required to fulfill the following criteria: possess an e-transaction account with VSS (VssID account), hold a level 2 e-identification account (VNeID account), and have installed VNeID application version 2.1.0 and VssID application version 1.6.7 or later.

During this period, VSS has also built, connected, and shared the National Insurance Database with other national and specialized databases. In this regard, VSS has collaborated with the Ministry of Public Security to connect, share, authenticate, and synchronize information related to Social Insurance, Health Insurance, and Unemployment Insurance with the National Population Database. Up to now, the system has synchronized over 93.7 million population information records in the database of VSS with the national population database, including more than 84.7 million people participating in social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance, accounting for 96% of the total participants (excluding armed forces and military relatives).

Furthermore, VSS has connected data with the Ministry of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs to share and exploit information about social insurance and unemployment insurance. As of now, VSS has confirmed and processed the payment of unemployment benefits for over 299,000 cases through the National Public Service Portal, settling the unemployment insurance for employee.

In addition, VSS has partnered with and assisted the Ministry of Health in integrating driver health check data, birth certificates, and death certificates from medical facilities across the nation to support the implementation of online public services, including “Online issuance and renewal of driver licenses”, as well as two groups of administrative procedures: “Birth registration, permanent residence registration, and health insurance card issuance for children under 6 years old” and “Death registration, cancellation of permanent residence registration, funeral cost support, and funeral allowance”.

As of now, nearly 1,200 healthcare facilities across the country have sent data on driver health check certificates, with nearly 1.6 million data submissions; 1,500 facilities have sent data on birth certificates, with over 636,000 data submissions; 540 facilities have sent data on death certificates, with nearly 6,200 data submissions.

At the same time, VSS has shared health insurance card data with healthcare facilities to support treatments covered by health insurance and has transferred the entire database of households participating in health insurance to the Ministry of Health for the purpose of constructing health records….
