VSS’ General Director Nguyen The Manh made a statement during the working session.

The working session was attended by representatives of the leadership from various units under the VSS, as well as leaders, officials, and workers from Phu Tho Provincial Social Security Office.

In the report presented during the working session, the representatives of Phu Tho Provincial Social Security Office leadership expressed that they have always received close attention and precise guidance from the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, the VSS, as well as the coordination of departments, boards, sectors, and party committees at all levels, local authorities, and mass organizations in the implementation of social security and health insurance policies, particularly in terms of contribution collection and the development of participants in social security and health insurance, which have shown an increase compared to the same period in 2022.

Despite implementing synchronized measures, the development of participants in social security, health insurance, and unemployment insurance in the province has not been commensurate with its potential. The organization of customer conferences did not meet the expected targets.

During the working session, representatives of leadership from some units under the VSS also addressed certain concerns and suggestions raised by the local authorities. Additionally, they proposed several solutions for organizing and implementing specialized tasks at Phu Tho Provincial Social Security Office.

In his concluding remarks at the working session, VSS’ General Director Nguyen The Manh highly praised the achievements of Phu Tho Provincial Social Security Office, particularly in providing advice to the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and Provincial People's Committee in directing the implementation of policies, as well as coordinating with departments, boards, sectors, and organizations in disseminating policies within the region.

Alongside acknowledging the achieved results, General Director Nguyen The Manh also pointed out some difficulties and challenges that Phu Tho Provincial Social Security Office needs to overcome. In the coming time, he demanded that the agency closely follow the guidance of the VSS to fulfill the assigned tasks and ensure the rights of participants in social security, health insurance, and unemployment insurance.

This includes fully and promptly resolving social security regimes in accordance with regulations, managing beneficiary information closely to ensure accurate and appropriate disbursements, and continuing to apply measures to control and manage health insurance funds, preventing acts of exploitation and ensuring fund balance.

There is also a need to strengthen inspection and inter-agency checks, specialized inspections, and surprise inspections at units and enterprises with outstanding debts, indications of abuse or exploitation of social security, health insurance, and unemployment insurance; timely handling and recommending appropriate measures for violations of social security, health insurance, and unemployment insurance laws are also important aspects.

Deputy Head of the Organizational Personnel Department (VSS) Nguyen Thi Huong Giang announced Decision No. 1358/QD-BHXH dated September 28, 2023, by the VSS’ General Director regarding the appointment of Mr. Tran Xuan Long, Deputy Director of Phu Tho Provincial Social Security Office, to the position of Director of Phu Tho Provincial Social Security Office for a specified term.

During the appointment ceremony for the Director of Phu Tho Provincial Social Security Office, Secretary of the Party Executive Committee and General Director Nguyen The Manh congratulated Mr. Tran Xuan Long on his new position and expressed the expectation that he would maintain his political integrity, continue to strive and improve himself, enhance professional knowledge, management skills, and leverage his strengths. Furthermore, Secretary Nguyen The Manh urged unity and consensus among the leadership team of Phu Tho Provincial Social Security Office to build a stronger unit, successfully fulfill the assigned political tasks, and ensure the welfare of the people.

Regarding specific tasks, the General Director emphasized that in his new role as the head of the organization, the newly appointed Director should focus on implementing several professional tasks, including closely following the guidance of the Ministry and local authorities, effectively implementing social security and health insurance policies, ensuring the rights of participants, enhancing administrative reform and digital transformation, strict adherence to workplace discipline, clear assignment of responsibilities, and working together with the officials, civil servants, and employees of Phu Tho Provincial Social Security Office to overcome difficulties, leverage strengths, and effectively fulfill the assigned tasks to contribute to the social security of the province and the country as a whole.

Expressing his honor upon receiving the new appointment, Mr. Tran Xuan Long, the newly appointed Director of Phu Tho Provincial Social Security Office, stated that it was a great honor and a significant responsibility to be trusted and appointed by the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, the Party Executive Committee, and the VSS’ General Director.
