VssID - Digital Social Security is a product belongs to the digital transformation ecosystem of Viet Nam Social Security serving the people. This application provides utilities and essential information such as tracking the participation process, history record of beneficiaries of social insurance and health insurance policies; looking up information including social insurance code, Social Security agency, medical facility covered by health insurance and collection points, voluntary social insurance collection service organization, household health insurance; 24/7 support service (the system reflects people’s recommendations at the specialized page "Social security with people and businesses" at website address: baohiemxahoi.gov.vn, Customer Support Call Center 19009068, email support, and pool of frequently asked questions) ... Using the VssID application, users can also monitor the employer's obligations to pay their part in social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance for employees, contributing to the publicity, transparency of information, avoiding debts, evasion of social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance payments ...

After nearly 3 years of establishment from November 2020 to now, with more than 32 million users, Viet Nam Social Security has increasingly consolidated and promoted VssID application’s useful role.

In order to provide more and more features and utilities on VssID application, meeting the needs of the people and employees, Viet Nam Social Security has coordinated with the Ministry of Public Security to adjust and upgrade the VssID application, including the integration of VNeID account with VssID application (VssID application login with VNeID account). Accordingly, VssID application users have an additional way to log in via VNeID, in case of forgetting or losing password. The addition of this feature is getting good feedback from users.

This is also one of the benefits thanks to the implementation of the Project on development of residential data application, electronic identification and authentication for national digital transformation in the period of 2022-2025, with a vision to 2030 (Project 06).

To use this feature, users need to update to the latest version of VNeID 2.1.0 and VssID 1.6.7 available on Play Store and App Store. Another essential condition is that citizens have already had VssID accounts and their VNeID accounts are identified at level 2. The steps are as follows:

Step 1: At the VssID application login screen, select "Login with electronic identification account".

Step 2: At the VNeID application login screen, log in with a level 2 electronic identification account.

Step 3: After successfully logging in to the electronic identification account, VNeID application will navigate back to VssID application and users continue to use VssID application as usual.

Thus, with just a few simple steps, users can log in and make use of all features and utilities on the VssID application.

Previously, VNeID application had been upgraded, added a number of features, including the integration of information about the process of participating in social insurance. However, this currently cannot be processed online. Users must go to the local police for registration. The officer in charge will check the information and send the data to the system. After that, the data is transferred to the authorized ministry for verification, if matched, the results will be uploaded on the platform.
